A party of 108 pandas – performers dressed in costumes – descended on London streets today to promote the plight of the cuddly black and white endangered species.
The pandas did some tai-chi in Trafalgar Square before kicking on at a panda party in Convent Garden as part of the first ever Panda Awareness Week.

Hog rolls are always going to be a go to street food. Banhmi11 take it a couple of steps forward by doing rolls with a Vietnamese twist. The combination of zingy flavours, crunchy vegetables and a crispy baguette is irresistible. Jamie Oliver is a big fan.

Daddy Donkeys

Renowned for its Burritos. The only negative part is the enormous queues. The wait is worth it though. Packed full of filling flavour, Mexican food doesn’t get much better without journeying to Mexico itself.

Pizza Pilgrims

Taking Pizzaback to its roots on the streets. The guys here spent there time learning the trade properly in Naples before bringing back what they learn’t in Soho (as well as the rather fetching scooter van). This is pizza as its mean’t to be.

Churros Garcia

Street food for those of us with a sweet tooth. This is a delightful Spanish dessert that if you haven’t tried you are missing out on. Definitely ones to bring the kids to. You can even convince yourself they’re healthy as they are supposedly lighter than donuts!

Mother Flipper Burgers

If you like burgers your going to love these. Just absolute perfection. The only problem is that every other burger you try after this will be a let down in comparison.

Luardos

Described by many as one of the initial instigators of the British street food revolution, Luardos continues to do what its always done. That is, serve up satisfying Mexican food to hungry Londoners. They’re so successful (as in queue causingly popular) they now have two trucks!

Still the best crêperie in London. Practically an institution but also London’s worst kept secret. Expect long queues but the best crepe outside of France.

Who ever had the idea of combining Korean food in an easy to eat fast food format was a genius. Order the sliders and regret nothing.

Anna Mae’s Smokehouse

If you’ve never tried traditional food from the American South this is your opportunity. The pork is slow cooked for 14 hours. The Notorious P.I.G’s name doesn’t let down. Order one and get plenty of serviettes.

We may have left the best to last. Serving steamed rice buns with pork belly, hoi sin sauce, scallions, chili sauce and cucumber. These delights are well worth tracking down. Not to be missed and every bite to be savoured.
